On a fine spring afternoon students were standing in front of their classrooms, walking hand in hand and talking to each other happily. Suddenly there came five students running upstairs. Ayten was the first to spot the danger. “Cheese” she screamed, “they’ve got cheese”. The five students were getting nearer and nearer with cheese in their hands. Everyone ducked for cover. Some threw themselves on the ground. Then the attack began. Soon, there was cheese everywhere. It was on the ground. It was on the walls. It was on students. And it was in the mouths and ears.
Ali had thrown himself on the ground too. When he looked up he saw that the physics teacher, Mr. Cemal, was walking into the line of fire. He didn’t hesitate. Suddenly he felt something wet on his nape. Half a kilo of cheese had hit him on the nape. He looked very funny. He says (in English, of course) “I am proud of what I did. But it was what any student would do. I was just trying to help the good teacher, that’s all.
