The Fox and the Stork – Ezop Masalı

A fox invited a stork to dinner. On the dinner table, however, there was only one thing: a large flat dish of soup. The fox ate it quickly and happily but the stork could not eat because she had a long beak. She could not use her long beak to eat soup from a flat dish. The stork’s distress caused the fox much amusement. Soon after that dinner, it was the stork’s turn to invite.

The stork set a pitcher with a long and narrow neck before the fox. The stork put her long beak into it easily. Thus, while she enjoyed her dinner, the Fox sat by hungry and helpless, for it was impossible for him to eat from the pitcher.
