A Noteworthy Ottoman Miniaturist in Japan
Tokyo will be hosting an exhibition of the work of prominent Ottoman miniaturist Matrakci Nasuh next week. Matrakci Nasuh, an artist of the Ottoman period, was a talented miniaturist who lived between 1480 and 1564. He managed to depict events realistically while following the traditional rules of Islamic Art. ………………(1)…………………………………
He had many magnificent masterpieces; however, a cityscape of İstanbul and volumes representing the 1535-36 campaign in Iraq and Iran of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent are considered to be his best works. On the other hand, he was also a gifted mathematician, historian, linguist and soldier. ………………(2)……………………… He was also well-known with his altruistic approach to life. He helped everybody around him and he never acted selfishly. He shared what he earned.
The show, “16th Century Genius Matrakci Nasuh”, which İstanbul Intercultural Art Dialogues Association designed, is supported by the Presidency. ………………(3)……………………… Before that, the exhibition was formerly displayed in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Antalya, İstanbul and Vienna. The Presidency told the reporters that the viewers will discover the Ottoman Empire’s 16th century artistic, chronological and political perspective while discovering the virtues of Nasuh, one of the hidden geniuses of our history.

Historical Ties Between Turkey And Hungary
One of Hungary’s most 1. ………………… areas has cherished with the latest discovery of the tomb of Suleiman the Magnificent, who is considered the greatest Ottoman ruler, as the place is expected to be crowded by curious groups soon.
150-year-long effect of the Ottoman Empire from hamam baths and minarets to battle site memorials and remains of mosques can be found everywhere in Hungary. But, some Hungarians consider them as ruins of a dark period because they think the country’s thriving Renaissance age was 2. ………………… during that time. As a result, up to now, only few of the Ottoman monuments have been valued by Hungarian authorities. Suleiman’s case could change that, however.
In July, experts said that the tomb of the 16th century ruler was discovered during the excavations in the town of Szigetvar. Suleiman died during an epic battle with the mainly Croatian 3. ………………… of Szigetvar Castle that weakened his forces when he was 71. He was well-known for two important features: justice and honesty.
Norbert Pap, head of the team of researchers whose 4. ………………… uncovered the tomb claims that Szigetvar has been a vanishing town so most people have already left for the other big cities, but the tomb of Suleiman can bring in new opportunities and get them from rags to riches.
There are only few hotels in sleepy Szigetvar, which has a population of 10,000. Nevertheless, Pap believes that the town will be a touristic attraction in the long term. He also adds that Suleiman is a national icon in Turkey, and as it is easier to get to Szigetvar from both Europe and Turkey, it is likely for the Turkish tourists to come to see the tomb.
The municipality has already announced the plans to build better hotels close to the castle where you can see the history. Pap’s team still searches for Suleiman’s heart which was believed to be buried in a golden urn. We always went to the same school and we still live in the same neighborhood. Our friendship keeps getting stronger day by day. So, who’s this girl that I call my best friend? First of all, she is tall with red hair and brown eyes. Her hair is long and wavy. She has dimples that make her smile really beautiful. She also has freckles on her cheeks and nose, which she doesn’t like, but I think they make her beautiful. What is more beautiful than her freckles is her personality.
