Ahmet is a physics teacher. He says it is the most difficult lesson because students don’t understand it. His wife is a history teacher. Ahmet says teaching history is easier than teaching physics because everybody can understand history. However, his wife, Mrs. Cemile disagrees with him.
Ahmet and Cemile have been married for twenty years. They have two children, Arif and Hayriye. Arif is a high school student at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi. He is not happy at school because they don’t sell meatball (köfte) at the canteen. He is very ugly. He is very lazy. He is very stupid. But he is very popular because he can sing well. His best friend is Kazım. He can sing well, too. Hayriye is a university student. She is very beautiful, very hardworking and very clever. However, she has got no friends because she doesn’t like people. She spends all her time reading or studying. Aliye is her roommate. She likes Hayriye but they don’t talk lot because Aliye likes reading, too. She says they are not friends but they are good roommates. Hayriye says Aliye understands her.
